Napiershall Street

This gap site, marketed by Glasgow City Council, is situated in the Outstanding Glasgow West Conservation Area and sits adjacent to the Grade A listed St. Mary's Cathedral.

The proposal comprised 9 individual flats and an office for the adjacent Cathedral staff. The development recognises the existing tenement it sits next to, in height and material.

However on the corner closest to the Cathedral the scheme reduces in scale and changes material to signify the importance of the adjacent building. This change in scale allows for the two penthouses to have their own private roof terraces overlooking the spire of the Cathedral.
