RIAS Design Ideas Competition
“Govan - Going Places”
The brief for the project asked entrants to re-design the transport interchange situated adjacent to Govan town centre.
There were also requirements to introduce office accommodation amongst the scheme and an open air market area.
The design looked to unite the underground station and the bus station to facilitate commuter travel and also to free up the site for the open air market and office accommodation. The design attempted to create a route from the transport interchange to the Clyde and across a new pedestrian bridge to the new
Transport Museum.
