Largely inspired by the Scottish vernacular, this 10 unit scheme is located on the site of a former vehicle repair garage at the junction of Main Street and King Street in the village of Newmilns, East Ayrshire.

Separated into 2 blocks of accommodation, the units range from 1 and 2 bedroom apartments to 3 bedroom duplexes arranged along the periphery of the triangulated site with centralised courtyard parking.

The palette of materials is honest, robust yet simple: rendered masonry, timber and slate with small concessions to colour at key moments throughout the development.

The proposals were developed up to, and including submission for Planning Consent.
