Riach Partnership were commissioned by Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association in 2003 to develop proposals for the Comprehensive Tenement Improvement of 4 closes of residential closes comprising 33 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats of both Housing Association and privately owned properties. The works included full building fabric repair, new kitchens, bathrooms, central heating and common area improvements.
The acquisition of 4 ground floor retail units by the Housing Association allowed these to be converted into 1 wheelchair standard and 3 amenity standard dwellings for the Association.
Following negotiation with the owners of the remaining 5 retail units a scheme for the improvement of the shop fronts were also included in the works. The works were completed on time and on budget.
