We were commissioned to design another house for the same client at Spinner Street. This sloping narrow site sits directly across the road from the previous development and although is further down the slope a two storey house can still be achieved through an imaginative solution.
This design is sunken into the existing topography which allows it to appear single storey to the street whilst allowing the lower ground floor to relate directly to the secluded garden area.
The house again is predominately single aspect with the main living spaces sitting at the lower level and completely hidden from the street entrance.
The house itself is specified to be as energy efficient as possible with extremely low U-values, high efficiency heating system and triple glazed windows.
