Riach Partnership were asked to design a two storey extension on the gable of an existing semi detached house in the Knightswood area of Glasgow. The property sits in a quiet residential area overlooking a local park.
The brief was to provide additional work and living accommodation over two floors. The proposals reconfigured the entrance to the property allowing a clear separation between public / work and private areas. The opening up the existing staircase, and the new shower-room facilities completed the internal work.
Externally the extension was designed to seamlessly join the existing property through the use of a similar palette of materials.
